Analyzing customer reviews with AI – how it works

Our free AI tool analyses your Google reviews in three fully automated steps – without any signup or a single line of code. All you need is your business name.

First, the tool queries the Google Business database in real time and suggests matching profiles. Once you select your business, our backend retrieves up to 100 of the latest Google reviews via Apify – directly from the public Google profile, fully GDPR-compliant. In the second step, the system sends the anonymised review texts to a large language model (GPT-4o), which identifies sentiment, topics, strengths, and pain points. Within 30 seconds you see the complete result.

The result is cached for seven days. If you analyse the same profile again within that period, the result appears instantly – without a new API call. This keeps response times fast and the cost for you at zero.

What sentiment analysis does for your Google profile

Manual review analysis is time-consuming: reading 50 or 100 reviews individually wastes hours and still misses the big picture. AI-powered sentiment analysis condenses all reviews into clear, actionable insights in seconds.

  • Overall sentiment at a glance: The donut chart shows the share of positive, neutral and negative reviews – ideal for reports and management presentations.
  • Top topics in customer feedback: The AI clusters all mentions into topic groups (e.g. service, price, waiting time, cleanliness) and shows how often each topic appears – positive and negative.
  • Pain points & strengths: Representative original quotes from the reviews illustrate what customers specifically dislike or love. These are the quotes your marketing team needs immediately.
  • Rating trend over time: The line chart shows how your average rating has developed over the past months. You immediately see whether a dip is seasonal or structural.
  • AI recommendations: The AI summary delivers prioritised improvement suggestions based on the most frequent negative topics – ready-formulated, immediately actionable.

Analyse reviews in 4 steps

Search for your business

Type your business name into the search field. From the third character onwards the tool suggests matching Google Business profiles. Select the correct location from the list – for chains, each location is a separate profile.

Confirm the profile

After selection the profile card appears with name, address and current star rating. Quickly check that the location and address are correct, then click "Analyze reviews".

AI analyses the reviews

The system fetches the last 100 Google reviews and sends them anonymised to the language model. Four progress steps show you live what is happening – profile fetch, review scraping, sentiment analysis, topic clustering. The whole process usually takes under 30 seconds.

Read & export results

The results view is divided into seven sections. Use the side navigation on the left to quickly switch between profile, sentiment donut, topics, quotes, trend and the full report. Click "Save as PDF" to print the complete report for meetings or presentations.

Review analysis: the insights you get

The tool delivers more than a simple star rating. Here is what you know concretely after each analysis:

Sentiment distribution: What percentage of your reviews are positive, how many neutral, how many negative? The donut chart makes the ratio visible at a glance. If 80% of your reviews are positive but the negative 20% all mention the same flaw, that is a clear action signal.

Topic clusters: The AI groups all mentions into categories and shows which aspects of your business are discussed most frequently – from service to parking to communication. Each topic bar shows the share of positive and negative mentions.

Original quotes: Not a paraphrased summary, but real customer voices – categorised as pain points and strengths. These quotes are directly usable for social-media testimonials (strengths) or as a basis for internal quality discussions (pain points).

Trend chart: Do you see a drop in your ratings in a particular month? The line chart makes seasonal fluctuations visible and helps you identify causal links – for example after a price change, a staff change, or a renovation.
